His indomitable spirit and unparalleled sacrifices during his imprisonment at the Cellular Jail in Andaman stand as timeless symbols of courage, resilience, and unwavering devotion to the nation. A prolific thinker and reformer, Veer Savarkar’s profound intellect and steadfast commitment to India’s independence not only reshaped the course of the freedom struggle but continue to inspire generations to uphold the ideals of nationalism, self-reliance, and selfless service.
Through this award, HRDS INDIA seeks to honor individuals and institutions whose exemplary contributions embody the same spirit of patriotism, innovation, and moral courage that defined Savarkar’s remarkable life. This prestigious award celebrates those whose exceptional achievements resonate with the principles championed by Savarkar— nationalism, self-reliance, moral courage, and societal transformation. By recognizing such exemplary contributions, the award perpetuates Savarkar’s vision, inspiring citizens to uphold patriotism, social responsibility, and the pursuit of progress.
Each recipient of this esteemed award will be conferred with a Cash Prize of ₹1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh only), along with a Certificate of Appreciation and a Memento, as a token of recognition for their outstanding service to the nation. The awards will be graciously presented by the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh, in a ceremony of national significance and pride.

Born in Cali, Colombia, and adopted into a Swedish-Sámi family, he grew up in the siida community of Mittådalen, embracing joik as a powerful expression of emotion and heritage. Jon Henrik gained national acclaim after winning Talang Sverige 2014 with his heartfelt ―Daniel’s Joik,‖ and has since become one of Scandinavia’s most celebrated performers, with acclaimed works like Goeksegh and Aatjan goengere, and notable placements in Melodifestivalen. His contributions extend beyond music through his role in the Sámi Parliament of Sweden, where he works to strengthen Sámi rights and culture. Recipient of the Áillohaš Music Award 2025, Jon Henrik continues to inspire millions worldwide, and today we proudly honour his remarkable impact on music, culture, and humanity.
